ASME B18.31.1M Metric Clamping Reduced Body Type Studs Dimensions Standards

ASME B18.31.1M Metric Clamping Reduced Body Type Studs standard covers the complete dimensional and general data for double end metric series studs recognized as an American National Standard.
Double End Stud (Clamping Type): studs with screw threads of the same length and configuration on each end. This type of stud serves the function of clamping two bodies together with a nut on each end.
NOTE: Double end studs in ASME B18.31.1M standard may be installed with a nut on each end. Similarly, one end may be set in a tapped hole, usually with a locking compound.
