PED 2014/68/EC Certified Fasteners

Stud Bolts, Bolting, Threaded Rod, Studs, Nuts, washers, Screws

PED certified fasteners manufactured at TorqBolt are used for pressure equipment and assemblies like Pressure Vessels, Steam Boilers, Piping, Safety Accessories, Pressure Accessories & Assemblies with a maximum allowable pressure greater than 0.5 bar.

PED 2014/68/EU QA System

The PED stipulates a QA-system in which the responsibilities and procedures are specified and effective ensuring, for example,
that quality objectives are set and compliance there with is monitored, information and data are controlled, manufacturing specifications are defined, results are verified and validated, the highest possible process safety is guaranteed, objective and reliable procedures for inspecting incoming goods are performed during and after production, clear product quality records are compiled and the effectiveness of the implemented QA-system is monitored and, as applicable, corrective and preventive action is taken.
PED 2014/68/EC specifies used of DIN 267 material designations and mechanical properties of bolts and nuts with metric screw thread for use at service temperatures ranging from -200 °C to +700 °C, where requirements are to be met with regard to low temperature toughness and high temperature strength. This standard supplements the specifications of DIN EN ISO 898-1, DIN EN 20898-2 and DIN EN ISO 898-6 by allowing the use of such fasteners at service temperatures below -50 °C and above +150 °C.
